A reminder to anyone interested in reserving the parish hall for personal use. The parish hall is available to parishioners for one-time usage, but this is subject to timely completion of the required Diocesan Form(s), the provision of the required insurance, and approval by the pastor. The Diocese Insurance Requirement: The Facility User shall provide to the Parish a certificate of insurance documenting the existence of commercial general liability coverage in the minimum amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate covering all use by Facility User of the Facility. The Parish and Bishop of Charleston, a Corporation Sole, DBA the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, shall be named as additional insureds under such policy. Instead of a Facility User obtaining and providing evidence of the above-required commercial general liability insurance, they may be eligible to purchase “special events” liability coverage through Catholic Mutual Group. Catholic Mutual Group must receive the Application for Special Event Coverage at least 15 days before the event and no more than 6 months in advance.
